These materials, designed to enhance classroom use, are now posted on the Dr. E. Lucy Braun website of the Edge (see below). Dr. E Lucy Braun educational website: Cincinnati Museum Center’s Edge of Appalachia Preserve System.
A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun features educational resources for viewers, teachers and students developed by the production team and staff members from the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Edge of Appalachia Preserve System. Dr. E. Lucy Braun has numerous connections to the Edge. She conducted extensive field research in and near the preserve in Adams County. She was a charter member of the Nature Conservancy in Ohio, which is a collaborative partner with the Edge. And, Braun led efforts to preserve “Lynx Prairie,” “Buzzardroost Rock,” and the “Wilderness,” the first acquisitions of what would become the 20,000-acre Richard & Lucile Durrell Edge of Appalachia Preserve System.
The Lucy Braun educational materials were developed by Robyn Wright-Strauss, Chief Naturalist, Edge of Appalachia Preserve System; and Catherine H. Knoop, Experiential Educator. Ms. Strauss and Knoop have decades of combined experience creating lesson plans, outdoor programs and educator workshops about the ecosystems of the Appalachia Mountains and other regions. The website has free, downloadable educator information, resource lists and lesson plans. The website also has links to related archival resources, outdoor programs and workshops related to Lucy Braun.

WOSU Passport: streaming video
WOSU (Columbus) is also providing streaming video of the documentary via the WOSU Passport system. The streaming version of A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun is only available to folks who become a WOSU Passport member. Here’s a direct link: WOSU Passport, A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun. The documentary is not available in the national PBS Passport library.

A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun is now available for rent or purchase on Vimeo On Demand. The Vimeo On Demand service allows viewers to rent ($5) or buy ($12) the program in High Definition video. The purchase option also allows you to download the documentary for repeat viewing, and effective classroom use.
